The Feather That Floated Far

For Babies in the Womb | 2-Minute Read

High in the branches of a great oak tree, a little feather rested snugly in a bird’s nest. It belonged to a young bird named Pip, who had just grown his strong new wings.

One morning, as the golden sun stretched across the sky, a soft breeze danced through the tree. It gently lifted the feather, twirling it into the air.

"Where am I going?" the feather wondered as it floated higher and higher.

The wind whispered, "Just follow where I take you."

And so, the feather trusted the breeze and let itself drift.

It soared over rolling hills, where rabbits hopped and played below. It glided past a sparkling river, where fish leaped joyfully from the water. It rose high over the mountains, touching the cold, crisp air at the peaks.

The feather loved its journey, but as the day faded, the wind softened. The feather drifted lower and lower until it finally landed—plop!—on something soft and warm.

It had landed in a brand-new nest, where a tiny baby bird was just waking up.

"Hello, little one," the feather whispered.

The baby bird chirped happily and nestled close. The nest was warm, the breeze was calm, and the feather knew it was exactly where it was meant to be.

And so, the feather’s journey was not an end, but a new beginning.

The End.
